Qurtuba — the name by which Córdoba was known during the Caliphate — conjures a city of courtyards: little worlds of light and shadow, water and flowers.

It is from these courtyards that the collection takes its cue — from white limewash and iron, from silence and the slow work of time.

Forged in iron and painted white, each piece preserves the trace of the hand and the slight irregularities of craftsmanship, much like a limewashed wall that has never had much interest in being perfectly smooth. The iron is transformed into something unexpectedly warm, imperfect and alive, recalling the generous, velvety texture of walls softened by sun, age and layer upon layer of whitewash.

Qurtuba seeks to bring that same quiet beauty into furniture: the grace of imperfection, the poetry of surfaces shaped by hand, and that rarest of materials — the beautiful passage of time.
